Disaster Recovery Event – October 20, 2019 in Needville, TX

Are you still struggling with recovery from Hurricane Harvey?  Fort Bend Recovers is here to help!  Fort Bend Recovers will be hosting a recovery event on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 2pm-4pm in Needville at the American Legion Hall (9727 Gene St., Needville, TX 77461).  Residents will be able to meet with agencies who help with disaster case management, home repairs, disaster legal services, and more.

This FREE event is open to all Fort Bend County residents who were affected by Hurricane Harvey.

SBA Deadline for Disaster Assistance to Texas Businesses and Residents Affected by the May 2019 Severe Storms

The deadline to apply for a low-interest disaster loan for property damage through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is Monday, September 9, 2019.  These loans are for Fort Bend County non-farm businesses of all sizes, private non-profits, homeowners, and renters who suffered losses caused by the May 7 and May 8, 2019 severe storms. The types of loans available are:

Individuals and Families:

Homeowners: up to $200,000 to repair or replace real estate damage and up to $40,000 to replace personal property.

Renters: up to $40,000 to repair or replace personal property.

Businesses:

Property Damage: up to $2,000,000 to repair or replace real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory and other assets that were damaged or destroyed (available to businesses of any size and private, non-profit organizations).

Economic Injury: only for small businesses and most private non-profit organizations suffering adverse financial impacts of the disaster (with or without property loss), up to $2,000,000 for working capital to help pay obligations until normal operations resume.  The deadline to apply for an economic injury loan is April 10, 2020.

Applicants may apply online, receive additional disaster assistance information and download applications at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela. Applicants may also call SBA’s Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov for more information on SBA disaster assistance. Individuals who are deaf or hard‑of‑hearing may call (800) 877-8339. Completed applications should be mailed to U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX  76155.

Homeowner Assistance Program Event in Rosenberg

The Texas General Land Office (GLO) will be holding an application intake event for their Homeowner Assistance Program (HAP) in Rosenberg on Thursday, June 27 from 5pm-8pm at Jackson Elementary School (301 3rd St, Rosenberg, TX 77471). HAP is designed to help residents affected by Hurricane Harvey who still need home repairs or help with mitigation actions. The intake event is open to all, not just residents in the Rosenberg area. Homeowner Assistance Program Event in Simonton

The Texas General Land Office will be hosting an event in Simonton this Thursday (June 13th from 3pm-7pm) and Saturday (June 15th from 9am-2pm) to help residents sign up for their Homeowner Assistance Program (HAP). HAP is designed to help residents affected by Hurricane Harvey who still need home repairs. Open to all, the HAP event will be held at the Simonton City Hall (35011 FM 1093, Simonton, TX 77476).  Click the link to view the flyer (in English and Spanish) for more details.

Are you still struggling with recovery from Hurricane Harvey?  Fort Bend Recovers is here to help!  Fort Bend Recovers will be hosting a recovery event on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 4pm-6pm in the Fresno/Arcola area at the Mustang Community Center (4521 FM 521 Rd, Fresno, TX 77545).  Residents will be able to meet with agencies who help with disaster case management, home repairs, disaster legal services, and more.

This FREE event is open to all Fort Bend County residents who were affected by Hurricane Harvey.
