  • Fort Bend County Emergency Operations Center (FBC EOC) is stressing through social media, its website, and other public information that only water and non-perishable food donations will be accepted at donation drop-off locations
  • Financial Donations are encouraged through:


  • Recommend organizations use Volunteer Houston’s online Volunteer Reception Center
    • Organizations log in and post volunteer opportunities
    • Public views opportunities and connects with organization
    • Instructions will be posted on using the Volunteer Reception Center
  • Need to properly track volunteer hours in order to help with Fort Bend County’s FEMA reimbursement


  • Crisis Clean-Up (mucking and gutting)
    • Crisis Clean-Up is a website that matches residents needing mucking and gutting with volunteer organizations that perform that service
      • Volunteer organizations can pick and choose houses to muck and gut

Case Management/Basic Needs

  • Casework Tracking
    • Recommended that organizations doing assessment and casework with disaster survivors should immediately begin using CAN (Coordinated Assistance Network)
      • CAN helps with tracking all disaster survivors who need help across all agencies


  • Fort Bend County now eligible for FEMA Assistance – Individual Assistance and Public Assistance
  • FEMA Inspectors are in county along with teams registering people for FEMA Assistance
