The Texas General Land Office (GLO) will be holding an application intake event for their Homeowner Assistance Program (HAP) in Rosenberg on Thursday, June 27 from 5pm-8pm at Jackson Elementary School (301 3rd St, Rosenberg, TX 77471). HAP is designed to help residents affected by Hurricane Harvey who still need home repairs or help with mitigation actions. The intake event is open to all, not just residents in the Rosenberg area. The Texas General Land Office will be hosting an event in Simonton this Thursday (June 13th from 3pm-7pm) and Saturday (June 15th from 9am-2pm) to help residents sign up for their Homeowner Assistance Program (HAP). Fort Bend Recovers will be hosting a recovery event on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 4pm-6pm in the Fresno/Arcola area at the Mustang Community Center (4521 FM 521 Rd, Fresno, TX 77545). Residents will be able to meet with agencies who help with disaster case management, home repairs, disaster legal services, and more.
This FREE event is open to all Fort Bend County residents who were affected by Hurricane Harvey.

The Texas General Land Office will be holding an intake event for their Homeowner Assistance Program and Homeowner Reimbursement Program at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Rosenberg (1600 Avenue D, Rosenberg, TX 77471) on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 3pm for residents still needing help after Hurricane Harvey. The General Land Office will have Spanish translators on hand to help Spanish-speaking residents. This event is open to all affected by Hurricane Harvey. The Texas General Land Office will be launching their Homeowner Reimbursement Program on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 8:00AM for residents affected by Hurricane Harvey. This program can allow homeowners to be reimbursed for certain out-of-pocket expenses incurred for repairs to their primary home including reconstruction, rehabilitation, or mitigation up to $50,000. Residents will need to present receipts in order to be reimbursed.
This Homeowner Reimbursement Program is administered by the General Land Office and provides reimbursement for:
- Removal of Construction Debris
- Structural Repairs
- Essential appliances: HVAC, Refrigerator, Stove / Oven, Dishwasher, Water Heater
- Utility Connections: Plumbing, Electrical & Gas Systems
- Septic or Sewer System Repair
- Well or Water System Repair
- Permits & Inspection Fees
Since this is a 2017 Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program, it is geared towards low-to-moderate income residents, although everyone is encouraged to apply. PLEASE NOTE – for the first 30 days of the program, 30% of the funding will be set aside for low-to-moderate income residents. This means that 70% of the funding will be available for residents that are generally NOT low-to-moderate income (there are a few additional eligibility requirements). If this program can help you, you are encouraged to apply for this program and to apply as soon as the application process opens! The program is first-come, first serve!

- Fill out a paper application (available online or at a regional office) and mail it or drop it off at a regional office
- Visit a homeowner reimbursement program regional office for an application and assistance with the application process
